Maria Pao Phung is a manager at PwC in San Francisco and is responsible for managing assurance and business advisory services for private and public companies. Through the analysis of business risks, external market trends and profitability levers, Pao Phung identifies opportunities for clients to improve operational and reporting processes. She joined the firm in 2007 and serves clients in a variety of industries, including capital markets, venture capital, real estate and investment management.
Pao Phung also supports the firm’s nonprofit partnerships, and is a committed youth volunteer in the community teaching financial literacy and sustainability to middle school and high school students through PwC’s Earn Your Future initiative and the San Francisco Green team.
Pao Phung is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and California Society of Certified Public Accountants and received her B.A. in English literature from the University of California, Berkeley.
