Jonathan Malan is a tax partner with PwC in Northern California. He has been managing the tax services for privately held, family-owned and private equity-backed businesses for more than 20 years. He also has extensive experience working with family-owned S Corporations. Malan has served clients in a variety of industries, including, manufacturing and distribution, and has worked with companies of all sizes, ranging from small start-ups to large multinational public companies. Malan has assisted companies with strategies to reduce their overall tax liabilities, including cross-border planning, state tax structuring and optimization of available credits and incentives. He has also assisted companies with the tax complexities of business expansion and acquisitions.
Malan, a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and California Society of Certified Public Accountants, received his Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah, and his Master of Science in taxation from Golden Gate University in the San Francisco Bay Area.
