Israel Knowledge@Wharton: Innovation for Global Social Impact

Mission:

Enhance prosperity through business thought leadership research,  publishing, and programs.

Wharton thought leadership should be a force for good in the Middle East.  Investors interested in political advocacy, Jewish identity, and social justice may engage organizations such as AIPAC, Taglit Birthright, and AJWS.  Israel Knowledge @ Wharton (IsKW) aims to engage investors interested in enhancing prosperity through business thought leadership research, publishing, and programs.  Wharton faculty, students, alumni, and friends will innovatively educate Israel about the world of business, and educate the world about Israeli business, creating a more prosperous and secure global community.

IsKW will focus on enhancing prosperity through the improved practice of business management, Foreign Direct Investment, Trade, Tourism, and Nation Branding in the “Innovation Nation”.  Global investors seeking to profit with Israel will find knowledge and networks through our partnerships and sharing of best practices with IDC Herzliya and other leading institutions focused on prosperity.  We will evaluate and prioritize new programs to maximize impact.

IsKW will report on existing research, and work with Wharton research centers and elsewhere to further explore Israel’s impact and potential.  Innovation through the Mack Center,   entrepreneurship through the Snider Center, and specific faculty experience in functional areas such as entrepreneurial marketing, or industry areas such as telecommunications, will be developed and amplified to educate and inspire prosperity.

Some leaders believe economics, not politics, is the key to improving society.  Almost all agree that education for prosperity creates opportunity for societal progress.  By amplifying business knowledge, IsKW should be a force for good in the Middle East and continue Wharton’s tradition of innovation and leadership.
